Whole-school values & vision

Our mission: Orchards strives to inspire and challenge children to be their best.

Our vision:

Jesus told his followers that, “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” At Orchards’ we focus on the building blocks for life of mental wellbeing, reading, writing and maths which will give our children the best possible start in life.

To achieve this, our school will work towards a balance, for every child, between challenge and support. This is in addition to developing the all-important sense of enjoyment and well-being that is at the heart of good learning. We will invest time listening and considering what our pupils and their parents say since even the youngest members of our community should have a say in determining their school’s future. In return we will expect our pupils’ best efforts, perseverance and unlimited enthusiasm to learn new skills and knowledge.

Our aims:

  • For children to be independent learners and thinkers
  • For children staff and parents work actively in partnership
  • To inspire a love for learning
  • To provide a relevant curriculum for all
  • For children to value themselves
  • To foster a sense of belonging to our community hub
  • To support all children to realise their full potential
Our values:
  • Ambition
  • Perseverance
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
